It is surrounded by areas which abound in natural beauty and has rightfully been called a "photographers delight". The Lali Wildlife Sanctuary is situated here and the Daying Ering Sanctuary is about 8 miles away on an island where migratory birds like cranes, wild ducks, storks, and hornbills can be seen from Sept.-Feb. Embark on a photographic journey that includes sweeping rain forests, rugged mountains, sparkling waterfalls, fire-spitting volcanoes, and a rainbow of wildlife and lonesome beaches stretching along jungle-lined shores. We will be photographing in remote pristine areas of the country that have some of the highest levels of bio-diversity than can be found anywhere on the planet. You will be able to hone your photographic abilities in a broad range of subjects including landscape, macro and wildlife photography. Unlike other international photography expeditions and workshops, this expedition is designed to teach you how to improve your photographic ability. Of the nine days of the travel portion of the expedition, almost every day will be spent photographing in the field. The field sites have been chosen to take full advantage of the photographic opportunities in some of the country's more remote and untouched areas including the Monteverde rainforest and the Pacific coast rainforests. To enhance your learning experience two to three critiques of your field work will be conducted by Mark and supplemented with informative lectures. By this time of the season, the animals have descended from the snow-capped mountaintops in search of food and warmth. It is common to get very close to a herd of big horned sheep or bison and capture the image that we all have dreamed about. While based in Cody, Wyoming we will shoot for 2 1/2 days in the field and share evening sessions where information, slide critiques, slide presentations and photographic techniques will be discussed. We will also not ignore the amazing winter landscapes that are found in Wyoming. Last year the big horn sheep were plentiful. During last year’s safari, we also photographed mule deer, elk, raptors, beaver and even a Pigmy Owl!

The Falkland Islands by Mark Lissick-Wildlight Nature Photography
Location: Falkland Islands
Imagine photographing gentoo, Magellanic and rockhopper penguin colonies from sunrise to sunset ... or near a major elephant seal colony as bull fight for domination. How about experiencing a colony of 24,000 black-browed albatrosses at point-blank camera range. Due to the Falkland's remote location the island's birds and wildlife are remarkably fearless which yields remarkable photo opportunities by being able to get close enough to get intimate portraits and fascinating behavioral shots. Most noted for their tolerance of humans are the penguins. As the are very curious and friendly, if you sit down near a colony and remain quiet, they will frequently walk right up to you. This is a bird and wildlife photographers paradise and an opportunity not to be missed. As with all Mark's expeditions, field work is emphasized. Every day is spent in the field to provide opportunities to work on your wildlife and landscape photography skills. Plenty of one-on-one time with Mark is built in so that he can provide on-the-spot guidance via interpretive questions and personal experience as you work on your photography. The Falkland Islands are still relatively undeveloped as a tourist destination, making them one of the most exciting locations for wildlife photography left in the world. If you combine the abundance, quality and accessibility of wildlife with stunning landscapes, a friendly local population and no crime, you will appreciate what an unforgettable experience awaits for you in the Falklands. The expedition is limited to 6 participants. This will provide us with great flexibility while providing you with plenty of time with Mark for professional assistance to improve your photographic skills. Small groups and professional guidance will mean that you return with great memories and professional quality images.
